How I feel the Spirit

I have often heard that the Spirit talks to us in different ways. I think this is true, I do not know about many people, but He talks to me in specific ways. I usually feel the Spirit when I am out in nature. When I am on the mountains contemplating the trees, listening to the river, looking at the animals, the flowers that grow in summer, and the colorful leaves that adorn the mountains in Fall.
I also feel the Spirit when I see animals. I have three pets that I love very much. They make me happy when I am having a bad day and make me smile when I am worried. Sometimes, when I pet them and look into their eyes, I think about the creation. How would this world be without animals? I believe they are proof that God created all of this for us. We are stewards of God’s creation, and as sons and daughters of God, we have to take care of the animals and the planet.
I also feel the Spirit when I go on walks, especially in the morning when I hear the birds and feel the fresh morning wind. Sometimes, I get busy and discouraged with life, and I wish I could pause to look around. If I could live a different life where everything is so peaceful. But unfortunately, nature is not always peaceful. It feels like the human race is at war with nature and God’s creations; some of us don’t even know it. I have read so much about the destruction of the Amazon rainforest and the devastating deforestation. Many animals are losing their homes, not just the animals but also people.
I watched a documentary about the meat industry and how they destroy the Amazon rainforest to build their ranches, it is so sad. Many animals are abused and murdered worldwide for just a piece of meat. I wish everyone could respect nature and the animals. I mean, they may not look like us, but they have the capacity to feel pain and fear. People don’t usually think about it.
